ANIMAL INSPIRATIONS is a children’s picture book series all about fun wrapped into heart-felt adventures with catchy phrases and positive messages. Featuring quirky animals, their delightful dilemmas and vibrant hand-painted illustrations, this series is about igniting young imaginations and nurturing happiness, kindness and joy.

 

It began with ONE MILKSHAKE, PLEASE, but inspired by the quirky animal characters that emerged, with more lining up for their tales to be told, writer Carolyn McCarthy soon had more stories than she could keep up with and ANIMAL INSPIRATIONS – The Series – was born.

 

The adorable animals and their delightfully chaotic dilemmas took centre stage, but with them came inspiring messages of love and hope which soon set the tone for the series. 

 

Illustrator Leisa O’Brien, Carolyn’s art teacher and good friend, was the perfect choice to bring the characters onto the pages and into young hearts. Passionate about sparking children’s imaginations with her art, Leisa captures the evocative and relatable emotions of the animals in vibrant watercolour, bringing the series an enchantment that is uniquely captivating.

Little did Carolyn and Leisa know their collaboration would amplify their creativeness, their shared passion evident on every page with their goal to Delight - Ignite - Imagine at the core of every title.
